The new wheelchair racing cabing was officially opened on Sunday 4th July by Bedford Borough councillor Doug McMurdo.
Congratulations to Ewan Wilson and Oliver Wilson, who both won golds at the Fen Gallop on Sunday 4th July.
A little bit of sad news that might be of interest to some of the more senior members of the Club, particularly those who participated in the relay run to Bamberg.
Congratulations to Jim Burke, who set an M65 club hammer record of 26.28 metres whilst competing in the Eastern Masters league at Cambridge on Wednesday 30th June.
Club members may be interested in a 10km race and 3km fun run that is being held at Thurleigh Autodrome on Sunday 26th September. Do note that the Southern Road Relays may be on the same day, so don't enter if you think you may run for the club in the road relays.
Congratulations to Stephen Simmons, whose performance at the East Anglian Regional Finals held at Corby over 26th and 27th June qualified him for the English Schools Decathlon Finals at Bedford in September.
It is with great sadness that the club has has to report that long-serving club member, Ursula Duckworth, passed away two weeks ago.
Congratulations to Alex Alston and Etienne Maughan, who both broke club records this weekend. Alex also finished first in the 3000m Steeplechase at the England Athletics Under 20 Championships.
