Well done to the Bedford and County athletes who took part in the UK School Games at Loughborough on 3rd and 4th September. There were some excellent performances.
Gracie Wall (U17) came 2nd on count back in the High Jump with a new PB of 1.73 metres. Etienne Maughan came second in the 80m Hurdles in 11.32 sec (the winner ran 11.31 sec, so it was a very close race). Sadie Werrett (U17) came third in the Javelin with a throw of 41.87 metres - as well as being a PB, this is also improves Sadie's own U17 women's club record. And Varun Bandi (U17 / T54) came seventh in the 100m wheelchair race in 20.10.
Etienne has been selected to represent English Schools in 80M hurdles at the Schools International against Scotland, Ireland and Wales at Derby on 25th September.
