Members of the wheelchair racing squad competed at Coventry last Saturday and then at Sandy during the week and all achieved PBs in their events.  The results were as follows:

Coventry, 11th June

Rebecca Dean: 100m 33.44 secs

Varun Bandi: 400m 73.99 secs; 800m 2m 26.69 secs, 1500m 4m 43.95 secs

Sandy, 16th June

Varun Bandi: 100m 19.2 secs, 200m 35.5 secs

Jade Olulode: 100m 26.6 secs

Well done to all and we're now looking forward to the National Junior Championships on Saturday 3rd July at Coventry.

Sunday 27th June sees the official opening of the new Wheelchair Racing hut at the Stadium.  This provision was made possible by a £6,500 grant from The Harpur Trust, and will now provide an indoor training facility and also much needed storage space for all the equipment, particularly as there are now several new members enquiring about wheelchair racing and wanting to join the Club.
