Congratulations to Etienne Maughan, who won the British Universities 100m Hurdles title last weekend, and in the process broke her own Senior Women's club record. Etienne's new record is 13.59 seconds. This was set in her heat, and she followed it with a 13.62 in the final to become the British Universities Champion. Etienne currently sits in fourth position in this year's UK Senior Women's 100m Hurdles rankings, and is top of the Under 23 rankings.
Congratulations to Richard Martin, who set a new M40 Club Record for the Hammer at Cleckheaton on 7th April. Richard's new record is 55.94 Metres. This currently ranks Richard the number 1 M40 in the UK, and puts him in the top 20 overall for the hammer so far this season.
Congratulations to Jemma Eastwood, who set a new club W45 record of 3.32 metres for the Pole Vault whilst competing in the European Masters Championship in Torun on 20th March.
Congratulations to Jasmine Wilkins, who set a Senior Women's and Under 20 Women's club 100m record of 11.60 seconds whilst running at the UCONN Northeast Challenge meeting in the United States on 13th April. Jasmine's time currently puts her in the UK Top 10 for the event. Well done Jasmine!
There was a great run from Jasmine Wilkins last weekend. During a Birmingham University trip to the United States, Jasmine clocked an 11.78 second 100m at the Penn Invitational event on 6th April at Franklin Field, Pennsylvania. This is one of the fastest times run by a British woman so far this season. Well done Jasmine!

Congratulations to John Eves, who set a new club M40 20 mile road best of 1:49:29 in the Essex 20 on 17th March.
Congratulations to Lily Farr, who finished an excellent 21st in the Inter Girls race at the English Schools Cross Country Championships last weekend.
Lily was boxed in the stampede of 343 runners at the start and found it difficult to negotiate the phalanx of runners spread across the course in front of her. As space eventually began to open up, she worked her way through the field from 75th place to finish an outstanding 21st - only 10 seconds behind 10th place and an international vest.
Theo Beale also enjoyed a good run to finish 88th in a field of 329 runners. Congratulations to all the Bedford and County athletes who took part.
