A warm and sunny Saturday saw 20 U13 and U15 girls make the trip to Woodford Green for the 2nd match in the YDL. This was again a tough competition for the youngest members of our club as we are in a division with teams from Brighton, Cambridge Harriers, Crawley, Herne Hill and Woodford Green and as usual all the girls gave everything they had in every event they took part in and came away with 19 personal bests and 1 season’s best.

Top 3 A string placings came from the following U13s: Bronwyn 75m 3rd 10.38s, 150m 3rd 21.24s, Serena 800m 2nd 2.33.12, Lois high jump 3rd 1.30m, Lily javelin 13.52m and Scarlett, Eva, Mia and Bronwyn 4 x 100m 3rd 57.14.
 
Top 3 B string placings came from Juliette 1500m 5.36.98 in the U15s and in the U13s were Lily 800m 2.54.46, Elsa high jump 1.20m, Lois shot put 2nd 5.25m.
 
I am extremely proud of how the girls are improving already this season.
 
Again, a big thank you to all the parents who helped officiate and made sure the athletes were at the track on time for their events. We couldn’t do it without you.
