St Albans Cathedral was the backdrop for the first Chiltern League match of the 2025 – 2026 Cross Country season at Verulamium Park. With the U11 Girls, U13 Girls, U15 Boys, Under 20 Men and Senior Men all winning their respective leagues.
Bedford and County AC took on the wind and rain of Storm Amy when they travelled to the National Road Relay Champs at Sutton Park in Birmingham, with each team giving their all in a brilliantly rewarding day in the West Midlands. The most notable of results included top 10 finishes for: the Under 15 Boys A in 5th and the Senior Women A in 10th.
Congratulations to Glen Kerr who elevated himself to 8th on the all-time M50 rankings for the Senior 7.26K hammer with a throw of 50.23M at the Hammer Circle Reunion meeting on 27th September in Hull.
Many of our athletes travelled to Aldershot on Saturday 20th September to take part in the SEAA Road Relays, and produced some outstanding individual and team performances.

Glen Kerr continued his renaissance as a Masters athlete with a throw of 57.23m to win the M50 Hammer at the British Masters on Sunday. In 1991 as an intermediate boy, he won gold at the English Schools Championship, following it with another gold at the Schools International a week later. As a Senior Man he represented Scotland and set the current Club Record of 65.53m.
Congratulations to the twenty Bedford & County athletes who represented Bedfordshire at the SEAA Inter Counties Championships at a very wet and windy Horspath Stadium on 13/14 September.
